Iranu manages to wave back with a foreleg by propping the other foreleg on Uvavu's shoulder, a maneuver which is a lot less complicated then it sounds but is quite hard to type. I can draw a diagram if necessary.

As they continued to talk, two others appeared nearby. Quad led his daughter, Zephyr, to a favorite grazing spot. After eating their fill, they noticed the others nearby.

*tilts head* Looks like some kind of meeting is going on, Dad.
Probably. We might as well see what they're up to. *begins to walk toward the group*

The two arrive and bowed to them all.

Di heads off, while Tuna turns and steps delicately towards the water.

Quad follows happily, and Zephyr tags along.

Iranu starts bouncing ahead towards the Ruins. Uvavu gives Tuna a last backwards look, disappointed to lose her company, but quickly catches up with Iranu, jostling playfully for front place.

Suddenly (and for no apparent reason), they sprint flat out for a few meters, break out into laughter, roll onto the grass, jump up (all disheveled) and look back at the group.

Come on! *jiggles happily and impatiently*

*rubs on a tree* Pinecones are so easy to get.
*pinecone hits Zephyr in the head* Oww!
Quad watches the pinecone hit the ground, and out of habit, he walks over and eats it.
*rubs her head, then looks to her dad* Daaaaaad you're not supposed to eat it!!
*swallows already chewed up pinecone* Oops. Well let's get another.
*looks to the branches of the tree* That was the last one on this tree...
She looks around at the other trees...And I don't see any more on any of the other trees...
Uh oh...

Both deer look puzzled.

Pinecones? T'was flowers from the the ruins, was it not?

-has to run to keep up, thanks to her short legs, but arrives with everyone- I think the freshest ones are over here. -notices Zephyr and Quad and laughs- No, I don't really need them, you two. Just flowers, comprendre?

Meanwhile, Tuna's still at the Pond.

-sips water and hums to self-

*jumps into the largest flower patch*
(shouts to Iranu) Do ye see any?

*stands tip-hoof on the edge of the patch*
(shouts back) Over there, over there! Left a bit! No, left! Ohwait. My left not yours! Moveyerhoof there there there! That's a good 'un, get it don't step on it!

Ah ha ha! *picks and holds triumphantly aloft*

Uvavu takes great care not to step on any other flowers on the way back to the group, and then lays it on a small tree stump a short way off from the flowers.

Turning back, he stalks back to the largest (yet still rather small) flower patch.

You know, you could get more than one at a time.

At the Pond....

Troll looks up from where he lies in the soft mud at the bottom of the Pond. He glances briefly at Tuna drinking, looking all shattered and diffracted through the rippling water surface, and then rests his head back on his pillow of shifting dirt, unsure as yet whether or not to surface today, or to watch the world from below. Troll closed his black eyes.

Quad head tilts. But they said....ah nevermind.

Come on, why don't we get some poppies from the old Ruins?
